Bellydance Unveiled show

After the great success of the first show Orient Under Construction, which was sold out and had enraptured the audience in Slovenia as well as abroad, Amaya Dance Company now introduces a new show Bellydance Unveiled. Feel how the dance is awakened by the rhythm and let the art of oriental dance fill your soul. The show toured in Ljubljana, Trieste, Venice, Milan, Zagreb and Banja Luka. The Bellydance Unveiled reveals classical and modern stylizations of oriental dance, which originate in treasures of ancient dance forms inspired by the Indian, Middle-eastern, European and last but not least by the American culture. Amaya Dance Company is a group of thirty dancers from all over Slovenia, who were selected on an audition in summer 2009. The choreographic leader of the group is Manca Pavli, one of the Slovenian most successful oriental dancers. The majority of the group consists of professional dancers, who are renowned independent teachers and choreographers. Amaya Dance Company is active mainly in the field of dance show production in order to bring the oriental dance to a higher level of stage art. Besides classical forms the group is also involved with the modern concepts and the latest stylizations of oriental dance.
